Major League Soccer teams such as the Columbus Crew, Chicago Fire, Seattle Sounders and San Jose Earthquakes each held Pride nights, while the Philadelphia Union marched in that city’s Pride parade . In Portland, the Timbers player Zarek Valentin wore a ribbon in his hair to raise money for LGBTQ youth groups.
All 12 teams of the WNBA hosted Pride nights, while the NBA’s 76ers marched in the Philadelphia Pride parade and the LA Lakers hosted their first Pride Night. All 32 NHL teams hosted a Pride Night!
